Why It Matters

The world of gymnastics can become pretty competitive, pretty quick. We feel it's unfair to put all that pressure on our kids and young adults. This is a fun sport; and the truth is, people, learn and perform their best when they are enjoying themselves. That's the culture we're fostering at Saultos; Healthy people first and successful athletes second.

Foundation

Guelph Saultos Gymnastics Club Inc. is a not-for-profit organization established in 1976 to provide Guelph with premium recreation and competitive gymnastics programming. Initially, the club operated out of local schools; however, in 1987, the club acquired its current permanent facility in Guelph’s Centennial Park at 377 College Avenue West.

Our 13,500-square-foot, climate-controlled gymnasium is specifically designed for gymnastics programming; the building includes administration offices, a viewing gallery, washrooms, cubby rooms, and a lunchroom/conference area.

Saultos is run and operated by a full-time professional staff, as well as more than forty certified gymnastics coaches. A volunteer Board of Directors governs the care of the club. Saultos maintains the highest caliber of gymnastics coaches; each coach is certified according to all standards required by our provincial and national governing sports bodies. In addition, the club employs coaches-in-training to develop a sustainable level of highly trained gymnastics coaches in our community.

Being part of the Saultos family is amazing. It’s a kind, supportive, safe, and healthy environment, and I’m so happy my daughter loves it here. She can have fun becoming a competitive athlete.

I like being able to teach kids new skills, and how their faces light up when they have those “I got it!” Moments. Like when they can see a glimpse of their own potential.
